Bill's first kitchen job was the butcher shop down the road, after school. He worked his way up from sous chef to executive chef, and then started building restaurants of his own: LeFarm in 2009, The Whelk, Kawa Ni — which now has a second home in Denver — Don Memo in the old Westport Town Hall, and The Art Space Café with The Norwalk Art Space.

Along the way he started Kitchen Share, which splits service charges across the whole team, kitchen included. It's since been picked up by restaurants across the tri-state area — which is the point.

hi'Amba is the newest one. He lives up the road in Weston with his wife Rachel, their sons Caeden and Oliver, and two dogs, Pax and Goose.
